Large woody glabrate twiner. Leaves to 150mm x 100mm. Purple-pink flowers with darker centre in many-flowered axillary cymes or corymbs, flowers with bracts to 40mm x 15mm, sepals to 7mm x 2mm, pinkish-white corolla hairy outside to 30mm x 12mm opening to 50mm wide. Fruit a berry 15mm diameter.
