Twining liana, young stems white-villous. Mucronate hairy leaves 190mm x 140mm. Axillary many-flowered inflorescence with bracts 20mm x 7mm villous outside & bracteoles to 8mm long, flowers 40mm or more long, sepals 10mm x 7mm glabrous outside, purple corolla 50mm x 15mm with tube to 17mm.
