High-climbing twiner with leaves to 240mm x 120mm, glabrous above & hirsute beneath. Few flowered axillary inflorescence with pilose bracts to 25mm x 20mm, 10-lobed white or pale yellow corolla to 45mm long with deep red, purple or black inside, 5 sepals to 10mm x 6.5mm. Fruit a glabrous berry to 12mm diameter enclosed in a persistent calyx.
