Twiner to 10m, grey-tomentose branches. Hairy leaves to 160mm x 120mm. Terminal panicles with bracts, outer sepals to 10mm long, inner sepals to 7mm long pilose outside glabrous inside, rose-purple 5-lobed corolla with glabrous tube to 8mm long lobes to 20mm long. Purple-red fruit to 12mm long.
