Twiner with glabrescent stems. Mucronulate tomentose leaves to 180mm x 130mm. Axillary inflorescence with pubescent bracts to 20mm long, sepals tomentose outside to 8mm long, lavender 5-lobed corolla with lobes silky outside to 20mm x 4mm & glabrous tube to 9mm. Infructescence to 900mm, purple fruits 20mm x 10mm enclosed by sepals.
