Scrambling woody scandent arching or leaning herb or subshrub with sparsely pilose stems. Coriaceous leaves to 70mm x 30mm, glabrous above & parsely hairy beneath with serrulate margins. Axillary & terminal ebracteate panicles of greenish-white flowers, pistillate heads with 8-10 flowers with purple-tinged phyllaries, corolla tube to 1.1mm long, staminate corolla to 2.4mm long with green to purple throat 1.4mm long. Hairy achenes 1mm long with pappus bristles.
