Clambering or arching shrub to 3m with 4-5 angled stems. Leaves to 155mm x 85mm with serrate margins, scabrous above & sparsely villose beneath. Cymose pistillate panicles, heads 6mm x 5mm, of 30-53 pistillate flowers, greenish-white corolla to 3.3mm long, 1-3 tubulate hermaphrodite flowers. Staminate heads to 6mm x 4mm with 17-25 hermaphrodite greenish-white flowers, tube to 1.3mm long & lobes to 0.9mm. Sparsely pilose achenes to 1.4mm long with whitish pappus 3.8mm long.
