Small scandent shrub with tomentose branches above, glabrate beneath. Leaves to 100m x 35mm scabrous above & densely pilose beneath. Terminal & axillary spikes to 25mm x 15mm with bracts to 12mm x 5mm & bracteoles 8mm x 2.5mm, calyx segments 8mm x 3mm, straw-coloured corolla pubescent outside to 50mm long, tube 17mm long x 5mm across at mouth, upper lip 17mm x 7mm, lowers lip 19mm x 5mm.
