Scandent or appressed climber to 4m, stems sometimes red. Leaves to 150mm x 60mm. Spathe green becoming reddish to purplish 40mm x 9mm, deep purple spadix to 75mm x 3mm, flowers 2.5mm x 1.8mm. Light purple berries 4mm x 5mm.
