Hemi-epiphytic root climber to 2m. Lobed leaves to 1m x 400mm. Green spathe maturing red-black to 150mm x 25mm, 300mm x 10mm violet-purple spadix. Pink-purple berries.

Leaves used to wrap fish for cooking.
