Shrub or small tree sometimes scambling to 5m, glabrescent 4-angled young branches. Leaves to 225mm x 65mm, puberulous on veins. 1-2 flowered axillary cymes to 40mm long with bracts to 17mm x 7mm, whitish puberulous calyx to 8mm long, purple corolla to 35mm long, upper lip to 25mm lower lip to 20mm long. Pubescent capsule to 23mm long.
