Tendril liana to 20m with striate branchlets. 2-foliolate leaves sometimes with simple or trifid tendril. Coriaceous glabrous leaflets to 135mm x 90mm. Terminal or axillary raceme of 2-3 15mm brownish-violet flowers, calyx to 5mm x 7mm, corolla with yellow tube & purple lobes, tube to 50mm x 15mm, lobes to 10mm long.
