Climber or scandent shrub to 30m with sensitive inflorescences acting as tendrils. Young branches reddish tomentose. Coriaceous leaves to 150mm x 70mm becoming glabrate. Many-flowered panicles of white flowers with calyx to 2mm long, tomentose sepals, corolla tomentose outside with tube to 15mm long & lobes to 6mm long. Orange fruit 60mm diameter
