Strong scandent shrub to 7m+ with sensitive inflorescences acting as tendril, grey puberulent young stems. Coriaceous leaves 150mm x 75mm glabrous both surfaces. Tomentose terminal panicles to 900mm long with bracts, flowerssweet-scented white to yellow with pink or violet tube, calyx 2.5mm long with tomentose sepals, corolla tomentose without to 17mm long, tube 14mm long with lobes 6mm long. Reddish-yellowor orange velvety fruit 150mm x 75mm.
