Fruiting Times
Scandent shrub to 6m+ with sensitive inflorescence acting as tendrils, glabrescent lenticellate young branches. Coriaceous leaves 130mm x 65mm becoming glabrous. Greenish-white to pink fragrant flowers in rusty-pubescent terminal panicles with rusty-tomentose bracts, calyx 3mm long with rusty-pubescent sepals, sweet-scented white corolla with tube tp 12mm long & lobes to 24mm long. Velvety fruit yellow or light orange when ripe to 60mm diameter.
Fruit edible, stem used as rope for construction
