Glabrous liana or erect shrub with lenticellate stems. Glabrous mucronate coriaceous leaves tomentose beneath to 125mm x 40mm. Axillary corymbs or terminal puberulous cymes or panicles 100mm long of fragrant white or yellowish flowers to 50mm long, 5 calyx lobes to 6mm long, 5 white petals to 16mm long, tube to 20mm long, lobes to 20mm. Paired glabrous follicles to 600mm x 12mm often lenticellate, mature fruit brown.
Used in cottage industry cordage, medicinal uses
