Woody tendril vine with puberulous hexagonal branchlets. Bifoliolate leaves with a trifid tendril. Coriaceous leaflets to 170mm x 120mm. Axillary racemes with bracts to 7mm x 1mm & bracteoles to 5mm, 50mm greenish cream scented flowers becoming red with age, calyx to 8mm x 6mm with frilly margin, red aromatic corolla, bent at 90⁰ to 50mm x 12mm, tube to 35mm long, lobes to 10mm.
