Tendril liana to 5m with hexagonal branches with detachable ribs. 2-foliolate leaves with a trifid tendril, pubescent leaflets to 80mm x 40mm. Very narrow panicles with bracts to 25mm x 10mm, dull purple flowers, calyx with frilly limb 15mm x 9mm, purple bilabiate corolla 40mm x 10mm, upper 2 lobes fused, lower 3 lobes 10mm long.
