Tendril vine to 10m with hirsute branches. Coriaceous leaves to 130mm x 100mm, with 2-3 leaflets hirsute above & floccose beneath & a tendril divided into 3. Terminal racemes or panicles of flowers purple to white, hirsute calyx tube to 8mm x 10mm with lobes to 6mm long, glabrous red or purple in centre with a yellow corolla to 25mm long. Tuberculate hirsute green capsule to 10mm x 30mm.
