Tendril liana with hexagonal branchlets. Trifid tendrils. Puberulous leaves to 120mm x 120mm. Panicles with bracts to 10mm long, 30mm yellow to purple flowers not opening very much, double calyx, inner calyx 2-lipped, outer calyx 5-lobed to 11mm x 11mm, bilabiate magenta corolla to 30mm x 10mm. Flattened hairy oval capsule to 90mm x 42mm.
