Slender unarmed scandent glabrous vine to 8m. 5-7 foliolate leaves to 80mm x 35mm with toothed margins, forked tendrils. Few-flowered cymes or umbels of purple flowers, 5-toothed calyx to 1.2mm diameter, 5 purple petals 2mm long. Dark purple to black fleshy fruit 9mm diameter.
