High-climbing liana with young leaves tomentose. Leaves to 20mm x 22mm, tomnetellous above & arachnoid tomentose beneath, bifid tendrils. Many-flowered inflorescence of purplish flowers, small green calyx, 4-parted corolla. Black or reddish-brown berry.
