Climber or creeper to 3.6m with slender woolly stem. 3-5 lobed coriaceous leaves to 120mm long with cinnamon tomentum beneath, dentate leaflets to 150mm long. Ferrugineous pendulous corymbs to 200mm long with simple tendrils, of greenish flowers. Deep red or purple fruit, covered with dense rusty down all over.
