High-climber to 8m with woody glabrous stems & branched tendrils. Trilobed denticulate leaves to 200mm x 220mm, glabrous above & pilose beneath. Many-flowered panicles to 80mm x 80mm, dark red flowers, calyx 1mm long, corolla 2mm x 1.5mm
