Woody climber or twining liana, lenticellate stems, glabrous or hirsute leaves 190mm x 100mm. Terminal or axillary cyme to 80mm long with bracts to 15mm x 10mm & bracteoles 15mm long of 22mm white flowers with pink to purple inside, 5 sepals 9mm x 5mm with calyx tube to 1mm long, 5 petals to 5mm long pubescent outside, villous corolla tube to 22mm, lobes just shorter, paired pubescent coriaceous follicles dull green to 100mm long x 15mm

Edible fruit but with bitter taste.
