Erect or scandent glabrous shrub to 8m or twiner with upper branches becoming scandent, frequently lenticellate. Fragrant variable foliage, glabrous coriaceous leaves to 85mm x 43mm with revolute margins. Glabrous erect axillary 3-4 flowered umbels or cymes to 25mm long with triangular bracts to 2mm long, of 5mm long pale yellow or white honey-scented flowers, calyx to 17mm long with 5 pubescent lobes to 13mm x 3mm, white corolla to 9mm long, creamy yellow to orange or salmon corolla tube to 5.5mm long x 1.5mm & 5 cream to yellow lobes 5mm x 3mm. Paired black glossy drupes to 20mm x 12mm with short beak furrowed longitudinally with a persistent style, beak to 2mm.
