Woody climbing vine with angled lenticellate branchlets. Coriaceous glabrous leaves to 160mm x 45mm in whorls of 4-5. Axillary or terminal lax panicles to 165mm long with bracts & bracteoles, up to 100 flowers, sepals to 1.7mm x 1.1mm, white corolla or with pink tube & white lobes, tube to 4mm x 1.1mm, lobes to 1.4mm x 0.8mm. Black glabrous fruit to 9.8mm x 6.5mm

Used as sewing needles, in ritual, support poles in building
