Erect shrub, creeper or climbing liane with angled lenticellate branchlets. Glabrous coriaceous leaves to 63mm x 27mmin whorls of 5-7. Axillary inflorescence to 28mm long, flowers with bracts to 1.8mm x 1.4mm, 3-9 flowers, sepals to 2.5mm x 2mm, white or cream corolla with purplish brown tube to 5mm x 1.9mm & creamy lobes to 2.6mm x 2.7mm. Glabrous fruit black, purple or orange-brown to 11.5mm x 7.7mm.
