Sometimes scandent perennial herb or subshrub, stems pilose or glabrate. Pilose or glabrate leaves to 100mm x 30mm, sometimes pink or deep purple. Inflorescence to 25mm x 10mm with white glabrous bracts & villous bractlets. Pilose sepals to 5mm long.
Leaves used for colouring pottery.
