Epiphytic vine or subshrub to 5m with adventitious roots, warted branches hispid when young. Serrately crenate coriaceous hispid leaves to 65mm x 30mm with red veins. Axillary solitary hispid yellow to orange-red flowers with red bracts, fimbriate red or green calyx with 5 lobes to 15mm x 6mm, corolla to 35mm long with tube to 33mm long & lobes to 2mm x 3mm. Pendent fleshy bivalved purple-black pilose capsule to 20mm x 15mm.
