Dioecious twiner with red-hairy branches. Pubescent leaves to 200mm x 180mm. Male axillary 2-5 flowered axillary cymes, flowers with 9 sepals to 10mm x 4mm. Female flowers solitary with 9-12 sepals to 10mm long & 6 petals 2.5mm x 3mm. Hairy drupe to 45mm x 30mm.
