Glabrous vine, shrub or tree to 12m. Coriaceous glabrous leaves 190mm x 75mm. Leaf-opposed cymes to 50mm long with bracts to 3mm, yellow-white flowers, calyx tube 5.5mm long with 5 lobes to 4.5mm, 5 petals 10mm x 5mm, corolla tube 5mm long glabrous outside villous within. Black glabrous berry 13mm diameter surmounted by cicatrice.
