Large liana to 22m with glabrous branches, often furrowed. Trifoliate leaves, coriaceous leaflets, terminal leaflet to 230mm x 110mm. Terminal or axillary many-flowered inflorescence to 350mm long, hairy sepals to 4.5mm x 1mm, dull white petals to 5mm x 1mm. Red velvety follicles to 22mm x 12mm with many coarse protuberances.
