Scandent, procumbent or erect shrub, hemi-epiphytic or hemiepipetric. Glabrous coriaceous leaves to 24mm x 12mm. Axillary fascicles of solitary or paired flowers, 28mm red to crimson flower with zigzag bands, 5-winged calyx, corolla to 35mm long, glabrous inside. Creamy yellow form known. Fruit a 5-winged berry to 6mm diameter.
