Very large glabrous liana, tree or scandent shrub with glabrescent stems with lenticels. Leaves to 11 foliolate, coriaceous leaflets glabrous both sides, terminal leaflet to 175mm x 70mm. White to purple-red flowers to 10mm long with flower bracts to 1.5mm x 0.6mm & bracteoles to 1.1mm x 0.2mm in axillary or terminal erect pseudo-panicles to 350mm long with bracts to 1.7mm x 0.6mm, pale yellowish or pinkish green calyx to 4.2mm long x 4mm villous outside with lobes to 0.3mm x 3.3mm, white or creamy corolla with green or dark brown spots along margin of petals, glabrous petals, claw petal to 1.7mm long, standard to 9mm x 9mm, wings to 6.7mm x 3.7mm, keel to 6.5mm x 3.2mm. Fruit a glabrescent broad-winged flat reddish legume with fine prickles, 150mm x 40mm, maturing white with wings to 8mm across.
