Sometimes scandent or trailing epiphyte with glabrescent rooting stems. Leaves to 150mm x 60mm, cinereous on upper surface, tomentose beneath, with serrate margins. About 20 flowered axillary cymes with bracts & bracteoles to 10mm x 4mm, normally solitary, calyx tube to 3mm long with 5 lobes to 5.5mm x 1.6mm, red corolla to 25mm long, puberulent outside, tube to 22.5mm & lobes to 5mm x 3mm. Glabrous capsule to 120mm long.
