Epiphytic twining root climbing shrub with glabrescent brown woody rootingstem. Waxy, lightly toothed dark green leaves strigose beneath to 300mm x 117mm. Axillary cymes with bracts & bracteoles to 40mm x 11mm, 40mm scarlet flowers marked purple & pinkish-yellow inside, calyx tube to 1.2mm long with 5 lobes to 15mm x 4mm, pubescent scarlet corolla to 45mm long with tube to 41mm long & lobes to 10mm x 5mm, long protruding purplish style. Capsule to 430mm x 3mm.
