Climbing or creeping epiphyte to 12m with hairy rooting stems. Leaves to 120mm x 55mm with doubly serrate margins. Axillary cymes with bracts to 6mm x 3.5mm of about 15 flowers, dull purple calyx with tube 7mm long & 5 lobes to 8mm x 2.2mm, red corolla 40mm long with tube 34mm long & lobes to 10mm x 5.5mm. Capsule to 110mm long.
