Vine, tree, herb or shrub to 15m with puberulent, glabrous or glabrate branchlets, strongly aromatic. Glabrate leaves to 220mm x 100mm. Axillary & terminal many-flowered pendent cymes to 90mm long forming a terminal panicle to 300mm x 130mm with bracts & bracteoles, fragrant yellowish or white flowers, glabrate green calyx to 3mm long, yellowish corolla, tube to 8mm long with 4 lobes to 6mm long. Glabrous tetragonal orange fruit becoming black to 10mm x 9mm with puberulent calyx to 4.5mm x 9mm. Orange or yellow cylindrical berries to 10mm diameter.
