Glabrous climbing tendril vine or shrub to 35m with slightly striated glabrous branches. Coriaceous glabrous 2-3 foliolate leaves downy on veins beneath, leaves to 100mm x 60mm with tendril. Terminal or lateral racemes or spikes of usually 24 x 60mm long yellow aromatic flowers, calyx 7mm long with 2-3 lobes. Oval green fruit 125mm x 20mm turning brown
