Twining tuberous-rooted slender glabrous vine to 8m. 3-5 lobed mucronate leaves to 140mm x 110mm with lobes to 30mm. Inflorescence to 150mm with up 30 flowers in male & 2-6 flowers in female, 1-3 parted tendrils to 150mm & bracts & bracteole to 1.5mm. Pale yellow flowers. Male flowersluding 3mm long stipe to 6mm x 3mm, sepals to 2mm, petals to 1.5mm. Female flowers including 2mm long stipe to 6mm x 4mm, sepals to 2mm, petals to 1.5mm x 1mm. Coriaceous glabrous red capsule to 30mm x 20mm.

Leaves edible.
