Robust climber to 15m. Coriaceous leaves, entire to 5-lobed to 200mm x 200mm, leafless in dry season. Axillary inflorescence to 150mm long, 1-5 flowered in male, 1-2 flowered in female with tendrils to 180mm long, bracts & bracteoles to 1mm long. Dioecious or monoecious flowers. Male flower to 47mm x 4.5mm including 24mm long stipe, sepals to 25mm x 2.5mm, petals to 10mm x 3mm. Female flowers to 36mm x 5mm including 15mm long stipe, sepals to 17mm x 4mm, petals to 10mm x 5mm. green flowers with whitish petals.Coriaceous fruit to 60mm x 30mm.
