Tendril-climbing woody shrub or herb from a tuberous root. Glabrous entire or lobed leaves to 150mm x 60mm. Inflorescence to 20mm. 1-5 flowered in male, 1-3 flowered in hermaphrodite & female, simple tendrils to 50mm long, bracts & bracteoles to 10mm long. Flowers cream to yellow. Male flower to 24mm x 5mm including 3mm long stipe, calyx lobes to 7.5mm, petals to 8mm x 2mm, Hermaphrodite flowers to 15mm x 5.5mm including 4mm long stipe, calyx lobe to 6.5mm, petals 4.5mm x 1.2mm. Female flowers to 11mm x 4mm including 1mm long stipe, calyx lobes to 5mm, petals to 2mm x 0.75mm. Coriaceous red fruit to 30mm x 25mm.
