Tendril climber to 4m with tuberous root. Entire or 3-7 lobed leaves to 130mm x 130mm. Axillary inflorescence of 1-6 flowers ion male, 1-2 female flowers, tendrils to 80mm, bracts & bracteoles to 4mm, fragrant white flowers. Male flower 19mm x 3mm including 5mm long stipe, calyx tube to 2mm, lobes to 8.5mm x 1.75mm, petals to 7.5mm x 2mm. Female flower to 12mm x 3mm including 2mm long stipe, calyx tube to 2mm, sepals to 8mm x 3.5mm, petals to 4.5mm x 1.5mm. Coriaceous fruit to 40mm x 20mm.
