Herbaceous liana to 20m. Older stems become triangular or 3-grooved. Simple to 3-lobed leaves. Inflorescence to 300mm long, up to 40 flowers in male, 2-10 flowers in female, white to very pale green or yellow flowers, simple or trifid tendrils to 150mm long sometimes ending in small adhesive discs, bracts & bracteoles to 1mm. Male flower to 13.5mm x 2.5mm including 5mm long stipe, sepals to 8mm x 3mm, petals to 7.5mm x 1mm. Female flower to 7mm x 2m including 1.5mm long stipe, sepals to 5mm x 2.5mm, petals to 4mm x 0.25mm. Coriaceous yellow fruit to 17.5mm x 15mm.

Leaves edible.
