Glabrous vine climbing or creeping to 6m with tuberous rootLeaves to 160mm x 75mm. Axillary cymes or racemes to 30mm with bracts and bracteoles to 1.5mm, 30 flowered males inflorescence, 3-flowered female, simple or trifid tendrils to 100mm sometimes ending in adhesive discs. Cream or greenish-yellow flowers to 17mm x 4mm including 7mm long stipe. Male calyx to 12mm long with 5 lobes, tube to 2mm, lobes to 15mm, male petals to 10mm x 3mm, male flowers with filaments to 3mm. Female flowers to 16mm x 2.5mm including 5mm long stipe, sepals to 10mm, female petals to 5mm x 1.25mm. Scarlet coriaceous capsule 80mm x 30mm
