Woody climber to 10m. Simple or 3-7 lobed leaves to 130mm x 120mm. Cymes to 20mm long with up to 10 male flowers, 1-5 female flowers, tendrils to 200mm long, bracts & bracteoles to 3mm long. Male greenish-yellow flower to 22mm x 14mm including 1.5mm long stipe, calyx tube 8mm long, lobes 10mm long, petals to 8mm x 4mm. Female flower to 20mm x 10mm including a 1m long stipe, calyx tube to 5mm long, lobes to 14mm long, petals to 7mm x 1mm. Coriaceous capsule to 40mm x 50mm aging yellow.
