Glabrous climber to 6m with tuberous root. Entire, mucronate leaves to 170mm x 110mm. Inflorescence to 50mm long, 5-flowered in male, 1-2 flowered in female with tendrils to 150mm, bracts & bracteoles to 3.5mm, flowers greenish-white to yellow. Male flowers to 38mm x 11.5mm including 4.5mm stipe, calyx tube to 25mm x 11mm with lobes 8mm x 0.5mm, fimbriate petals to 18mm x 0.75mm. Hermaphrodite flowers to 16mm x 6mm including 1.5mm long stipe, calyx tube to 10mm lobes to 3.5mm, petals to 6mm x 0.5mm. Female flowers to 20mm x 10mm including 1.5mm long stipe, calyx tube to 14mm x 10mm with lobes to 4mm, petals to 10mm x o.3mm. Coriaceous fruit to 50mm x 45mm.
