Large tendril liana to 30m with triangular stems. Leathery simple or 3-5 lobedglabrous leaves tinged purplish beneath to 180mm x 170mm. Axillary inflorescence to 70mm long, 20 flowered in male, 2-10 in female, tendril to 200mm long, bracts & bracteoles to 2mm, yellowish-green flowers. Male flowers to 25mm x 12mm including 1mm long stipe, calyx tube to 15mm with lobes to 8mm, petals to 9mm x 3.5mm. Femaleflowers to 20mm x 9mm including 0.5mm long stipe, calyx tube to 6mm with lobes to 12mm, petals to 4mm x 2.5mm. Coriaceous cauliflorous pale yellow fruit to 35mm x 30mm.
