Tuberous-rooted herbaceous climber to 4m. Simple mucronate leaves to 140mm x 130mm. Cymes to 110mm long with up to 12 flowers in male & 1-3 flowered female inflorescence, tendrils to 120mm long, bracts & bracteoles to 3mm long, flowers green to cream. Male flowers to 30mm x 5mm including 6mm long stipe, calyx tube to 15mm long with fimbriate lobes to 7mm long, entire or fimbriate petals to 9mm x 1mm. Female flowers to 18mm x 8mm inclusing 2.5mm long stipe, calyx tube to 6mm long with lobes to 7mm long, entire to fimbriate petals to 6mm x 0.5mm. Coriaceous capsule to 60mm diameter.
